Warners insiders are trying to apply modesty and are being more cautious when it comes to the estimated huge opening turn out of It. They are saying they estimate $40 million-$45 million turn out, courtesy of the sluggish marketplace and the fact that September has never been prominent for huge openings. Not withstanding, some people still believe It could approach $60 million, and we are a bit certain that it could clear $50 million or more in its first weekend. The film is rated R for Christ sake!!!
It is tracking for a record September debut, and reports have it that it would be the biggest opening ever for the month of September. The film is an adaptation of Stephen King’ It. The Warner Bros. and New Line horror film would be rolling out in theaters come Sept. 8.
