Remember the creepy clowns that patrolled the streets to scare people? It was all on Face book and social media. If you’d remember, sightings were reported in 16 states last year, which included Pennsylvania. Well, something similar is soon to hit your screen in the form of the movie ‘It’ and we hope it doesn’t spur up the whole creepy clown thing all over again.
The creepy clown craze in September 2016 resulted in at least a dozen people arrested in Georgia, Alabama, and Virginia for either taking part in the menacing stunt or for making false reports.
To be sure, the Pennsylvania State Police has issued a serious warning about the possible return of “creepy clown sightings” ahead of the release of Stephen King‘s “It” which is due to premier next week.
The Horror movie, is adapted from a Stephen King’ novel which go by the same name, and it portrays an evil demon who takes on the shape of a clown named Pennywise, and it stalks kids from within the sewers and kills them when they least expect.
‘It’ will be released in theaters on 9/8/2017
But did you know that these clown sightings are not new. They were reported nationwide as early as the 1980s? See more
